When Partnerships Make a Difference: IKEA x Hjulverkstan
At Hjulverkstan in Hjällbo (Skolspåret 15), we had the opportunity to develop our premises through a strong collaboration between IKEA and Save the Children. IKEA, a long-standing partner of Save the Children, contributed both expertise and resources to improve our workshop. Together, we reviewed how the space is used daily and developed a design tailored to better serve both staff and visitors. All interior fittings and furniture were donated by IKEA free of charge. When it came time to bring the plans to life, staff from Hjulverkstan, Save the Children, and IKEA gathered to assemble everything together. It was a day filled with collaboration, commitment, and community spirit. The result is a more functional, pleasant, and welcoming Hjulverkstad—a place that better meets the needs of everyone who visits.
